Clay preparation machines and bucket excavator- Anatolia for LB – 2021

Capaccioli contributed to the realization of a complete raw materials storage plant for the company Anatolia.

A collaboration born with LB, which has led a unique order of its kind, providing the Canadian giant a complete raw material storage plant, fully automatic.

A fully automated plant dedicated to the production of large porcelain slabs has been installed by the Italian company LB, with the support of Capaccioli, partner company of the project for Anatolia, at the Turkish production unit in Izmir. It is the first world’s automated raw material storage facility for ceramic tile manufacturers.

The work of Capaccioli consisted in the supply, start-up and operation of a clay recovery plant from the maturation silo. All managed by a sophisticated software that takes into account the specific production needs, the right time of maturation of the raw material and the control of stocks.

The Anatolia plant meets the requirements of the “smart industry”: reduced plant lay-out, lower operating costs, reduced environmental impact and the possibility of remote control of the entire plant.

With the start-up of the new raw materials storage plant, Anatolia is expecting to see a series of benefits relating to the traceability of the entire process, i.e. from the time the material enters the plant to the moment it is dosed and introduced into the press for production. This will create a kind of “black box”, a direct link with analysable data between the raw material and the finished product. The traceability deriving from automation will also reduce losses and waste of raw materials.
